Welcome to your LocalNet Training site

The LocalNet training site is designed to be a playground environment for anyone (site producers, reporters, bloggers, new directors, etc) who will be working with their new LocalNet neighborhood program.

It is set up so that you can learn the ins and outs of how to use your LocalNet site without having to worry about making any changes that will show up on any 'real' site.

It is also designed so that it can't be 'broken' in any way. Every night, all content and data changes are reset to an original state, so no matter what happens, tomorrow morning, it will work again.

Please keep the following things in mind while using this training site:

  • No content entered here will be migrated to another site.  This includes everything > users, links, stories, feeds, etc.
  • You will be provided with login information for users with different roles: a site producer, a reporter, a community content provider, a site administrator, and a regular end user.  You can log in as any of these.
  • You can create your own test accounts, but be aware that all data resets at midnight, so you'll have to create a new account again tomorrow if you choose to do that.

If you have any questions, speak with your account manager.

Good luck, and happy training!
